The civil division provides legal services in the following legal areas:
- Family Law
- Housing
- Public Benefits
- Probate
- Debt Counseling
- Consumer
The Legal Aid and Defender Association gives the above legal services and more to low-income residents of Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties from its offices in Pontiac, Clinton Township, and Detroit. However, they do not deal with criminal, business or personal Injury matters.
