V.A. eligible veterans, usually those who have served during wartime, are able to recieve free respite care every year.
Depending on where the veteran is located, the amount of free time is different. If still living either at a family's house or independently, they can recieve up to 30 hours every year which can be taken in increments throughout said year. If the veteran is in a nursing home, they are able to recieve up to 30 days every year for free.
