The National Council on Aging (NCOA) is a nonprofit service and advocacy organization headquartered in Washington, DC. Their mission is to improve the lives of older Americans. The NCOA helps seniors find jobs and benefits for the purpose of them to live independently as much as possible while also being care for properly. Their website provides a newsletter in both email and mail format which gives information about state and federal programs that might benefit seniors and their caregivers, as well as local organizations and communities for seniors to partake in joining.

National Council on Aging Benefits CheckUp Site

This site is a sister site to the National Council on Aging site. It helps mostly 55 years and older individuals with moderate to low income find all the state and federal benefits they are entitled to get. Many programs help pay for prescription drugs, utility bills, meals, health care and other needs.

The National Family Caregivers Association, otherwise known as the NFCA, tries to help family caregivers deal with the after affects of helping a family member with a chronic illness, disability, or just from old age. The NFCA gives advice about dealing with depression, isolation, financial issues, and depression that occurs from day to day dealings with someone that is very close to you(family).

They way Leezas Place accomplishes that is through educational programs, social activities, emotional support, and intergenerational programming. It provides access to a new and very supportive settings created for the purpose of empowering, educating, and energizing.

The National Alliance for Caregiving

The National Alliance for Caregiving is a non-profit coalition of national organizations that focuses on family caregiving. It was was created to conduct research, do policy analysis, develop national programs, increase public awareness of family caregiving issues, work to strengthen state and local caregiving coalitions, and represent the US caregiving community internationally.

At the website you can print out brochures and reports as well as read reviews and ratings for over 1000 caregiving books, videos, and websites.
